Join the Colorado Rail Game at Steam Next Fest Feb 23!

We are incredibly excited to announce that Colorado Rail Game will be participating in Steam Next Fest starting February 23, 2026!

For those new to the platform, Steam describes the event as:

"A multi-day celebration where fans can try demos, chat with developers, watch live streams, and learn about upcoming games on Steam. For developers, it’s an opportunity to collect early feedback and build an audience."

This is a massive milestone for us. Beyond just playing the game, we want to use this week to show you the "why" behind the project—from our goal of promoting passenger rail in Colorado to our partnership with our resilient development team in Ukraine.

How you can participate:

• Play the Play: Experience a "Minimum Viable Product" version of the game and see the vision for ourselves. 
• Give Feedback: We’ll be monitoring our Steam Discussion page and our Discord daily. Your input is vital as we iterate and improve.
• Go Behind the Scenes: We hope to share more about what it actually takes to build an indie game about transit infrastructure from the ground up.

By purchasing the game, you are directly funding the next phase of development. Every dollar goes toward replacing AI placeholders with human-made art, polishing current mechanics, and—most importantly—expanding our map to include new Colorado routes and international locations like Ukraine. Also, your purchase helps build the game into a powerful tool for transit advocacy. Every purchase brings us closer to releasing new features and detailed regional corridors, helping us show the world what a fully connected, rail-accessible Colorado can actually look like.
