Hello World!

Colorado Rail Game is now on Steam!

I am not a developer or an artist by trade—I’m a transit advocate. I’ve hired a dedicated development team in Ukraine to build this in the Godot engine. Our goal is to create a tool that helps people visualize a future for Colorado that isn't centered around the car.

How to Support: Steam Next Fest (Feb 23rd)

We are participating in Steam Next Fest starting February 23rd! This is a celebration for games that are in development and it will be how I get feedback from the greater gamer community.
Why I’m doing this:

  • Visualizing Better Transit: We need to catch up with the rest of the world. I want this game to show what a Front Range train ride could feel like when you city hop and find new places in cities. I also want to highlight the essential work groups like Greater Denver Transit are doing to humanize and de-carbonize transit our state.
  • Education & History: Colorado was built by rail. I want to support historical groups teaching the "boom and bust" history of our tracks so a new generation can learn from it.
  • Supporting Ukraine: My dev team is working through rolling blackouts and missile alerts in Ukraine. The Ukrainian rail system is a literal lifeline right now; building this game is my way of supporting these talented people and showing the power of international partnership.

A Note on the Journey (MVP & AI):Because I am self-funding this project without outside sponsors, I had to make some tough choices. We are currently using AI-generated images due to cost and time constraints. My plan is to replace these with human-made art as we raise more funds. The game is currently a Minimum Viable Product. It isn't a AAA blockbuster—it's a passion project. I view this as a "living project" that will iterate and improve with your feedback. I’m already looking forward to adding Ukraine routes and more Colorado expansions and historic routes.

Get Involved:I am a solo creator and I want your input to make this more accurate and impactful. Please reach out and submit feedback though our Community Input Form.

Let’s build a better rail future, even if it’s one pixel at a time!
